The headline screamed BREAKING NEWS : The Culprit Behind the WannaCry Ransomware Attack Has Been Identified As The Same Group Behind the Microsoft Tech Support Scam and we went to check the article as well as a recorded conversation with the alleged ransomware perpetrator. Turns out to be a ploy by this company National Cyber whatever, to get you to download their mobile app and to get noticed. For all their claims that the caller wanted to get ransomware developed, this guy never even says the word “ransom while talking with the NCS guy who seems to be leading him into making some compromising statements… better luck for this wannabe attempt. And I am putting this in the hall of shame so all can understand the malicious motive!
